Employee in the Spotlight: Ismael Hamdaoui

Meet Ismael. Our newest addition to the French team for Customer Success here at Mopinion! Originally from Morocco, Ismael recently joined the team and is already helping customers get more value from their feedback programmes.

With a curious mindset, a love for learning and a clear focus on helping customers succeed, Ismael brings a fresh perspective to the team.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find him exploring the Netherlands, enjoying good pastries or listening to 90’s pop music.


So we’ve heard how Mopinion experiences Ismael, but how about the other way around?

What does your position at Mopinion entail?

“As part of the Customer Success team, my role is all about helping customers get real value from Mopinion,” Ismael explains.

This means supporting customers in building a feedback strategy that does not just collect responses, but actually helps them understand their users and take meaningful action.

“I want to make sure their feedback strategy actually works,” he adds.

And that sounds like a pretty important mission to us!

What does a typical workday look like for you?

For Ismael, a typical workday is a mix of customer conversations, data analysis and platform support.

“My day usually includes customer calls, analysing feedback data and helping customers with training on the platform,” he says.

In other words, no two days look exactly the same. One moment, he might be helping a customer better understand their feedback results, and the next, he could be guiding them through the platform so they can get even more out of Mopinion.

What is your favourite part about working at Mopinion?

“The team vibe and the freedom to actually make an impact,” Ismael shares.

That combination seems to be a pretty good one. A supportive team, space to take ownership, and the opportunity to contribute from the start are all part of what makes his experience at Mopinion special so far.

What are the biggest challenges you face in your job?

As Ismael is still quite new to the role, he says it is a little too early to tell.

“I’m still new to the job, so I can’t really say yet,” he explains.

Fair enough! Starting a new role always comes with plenty to discover, learn and get used to. Luckily, he seems more than ready for the challenge.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Outside of work, Ismael enjoys making the most of his new surroundings.

“I like exploring the Netherlands, learning new things and enjoying simple, good moments,” he says.

Whether that means discovering a new city, trying something different or simply appreciating the small things, Ismael seems to have a nice balance between curiosity and taking life as it comes.

Who inspires you?

Ismael is inspired by people who keep going, no matter what.

“People who stay curious, disciplined and resilient no matter what,” he shares.

A strong answer, and definitely qualities that come in handy in Customer Success too!

Do you have a guilty pleasure?

“Pastries…and 90’s pop music,” Ismael admits.

Honestly, we fully support this combination. A good croissant and a 90’s playlist? Sounds like a pretty great way to start the day.

What is your favourite quote?

“Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.”

For Ismael, this quote is a good reminder that progress does not always come from one big moment. Often, it is the small, consistent steps that make the biggest difference over time.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In five years, Ismael sees himself growing into a more strategic role.

“I see myself in a more strategic role, somewhere between product, business and customer experience,” he explains.

That sounds like a natural direction for someone who enjoys understanding customers, solving problems and connecting different parts of the business.

What is something no one knows about you?

“One of my student jobs was butchering,” Ismael says.

Now that is definitely something we did not expect! From butchering to Customer Success, we’d say that is quite the career journey.
