Employee in the Spotlight: Louis Lombart

Meet Louis. Louis is our Account Expansion Specialist and this month’s Employee in the Spotlight. That means he’s either on the phone or reaching out to our prospects to show them the benefits of Mopinion’s feedback software. With years of experience in lead generation and sales, Louis wanted to take the next step in his career and chose Mopinion. So who is this ambitious and seemingly fearless new employee? And what’s he like outside the office? Let’s find out…

What does your position at Mopinion entail?

“I am responsible for lead generation in France and new business development in Spain, Portugal, and Latin America.”

What initially drew you to Mopinion?

“The product, no doubt. I think Mopinion has a great solution to offer, which makes it easy for me to pitch. I’m aware that it’s important for companies to get to know their customers better and solutions like Mopinion are a logical step in that process.

And I love that our office is within walking distance from my house. I’ve traveled between countries for a previous job, so this is quite different for me.”

What does a typical work day look like for you?

“I start my day with one espresso and after that I’m ready to answer questions from customers. I reach out to new business prospects as well as look for new business opportunities myself. I’m always busy emailing, searching and connecting with people on LinkedIn, as well as cold calling and trying to get in touch with the right person within a company.”

What is your favorite part about working at Mopinion?

“The international environment suits me. I like to work with people with different backgrounds and cultures. I also think Mopinion is a professional organisation, and we have the right balance between informal and professional.
I can really identify with it because I was born in France but raised in Spain. I have learned a lot about different cultures from all around the world because of my family or friends.”

What are the biggest challenges you face in your job?

“There are no real challenges for me. Nothing scares me off. I like cold calling, for example. So I’m not afraid of rejection in that sense.

It can be quite challenging at times, however it keeps the job interesting and makes it feel rewarding once a difficult issue has been resolved.”

What is your proudest moment at Mopinion?

“Every month when I reach my targets, I’m happy. And looking at the bigger picture, I’m glad I’m part of a growing company with an amazing product in a great market with lots of opportunities.”

And now for some fun questions…

What do you like to do in your free time?

“My Netflix watchlist consists of cartoons and animations, but my all time favorite movies are American Psycho and City of God (Cidade de Deus).

Oh, and I’m a terrible driver, but no worries. I don’t drive here in the Netherlands, since everything is within walking distance.
When I was 16 years old, we took my friend’s mom’s car (a big BMW). We went to the city, and we almost crashed the car in front of the police.”

What is your guilty pleasure?

“Cheese! French cheese! No, not the Dutch cheese, but only the French cheese (or Spanish cheese).”

Say what?! No Dutch cheese? I think a lot of people disagree with you on this one.

What is the best purchase you’ve ever made?

“My Marshall speaker was my best and worst purchase. I loved it! I was so happy with it, but after a week it broke…”

Where do you see yourself in five years?

“I think I want to do a Masters and become a Sales Director or do something in Finance. Maybe even start up my own business. Who knows.”

What GIF describes you best?
