It’s time for the November edition of Mopinion’s Employee in the Spotlight! In this blog series we introduce the Mopinion team members to you one by one. You’ll get to see the faces behind the hard work. Last month we introduced Nadia, our Business Development Officer (France). This month we have a special Employee in the Spotlight: one of our interns, Zoë Vrauwdeunt. Zoë is our Customer Support intern and will be staying with us at least until next summer, so some of you will be in touch with her, but hopefully not too often…
Meet Zoë. Zoë recently joined the Mopinion team as a Customer Support intern but is already used to working remotely with her colleagues. When she’s not answering emails in the support inbox, she’s busy designing her own costumes or singing happy Eurovision song contest songs out loud.
Let’s see what Zoë has to say about working at Mopinion…
What does your position at Mopinion entail?
“As a customer support intern, I am responsible for looking into the issues in the support inbox and writing cases and articles – for the Mopinion Knowledge Base – about how to solve issues.”
What initially drew you to Mopinion?
“I was really drawn to the friendly work environment and the balance between working with people and the technicality of the software.”
What does a typical work day look like for you?
“At the moment I work from home which means that I usually begin my work day at my desk with a snack in hand, writing everything I have to do that day in a journal. Most of the day I will be working on my internship research as well as writing articles and cases on how to solve an issue while checking the support inbox.”
What is your favorite part about working at Mopinion?
“My favorite part about working at Mopinion is how friendly everyone is. If I have a question about an issue or about something for my research I can just send someone a quick message. Everyone is willing to help, even the colleagues I have never met in real life.”
What are the biggest challenges you face in your job?
The biggest challenge Zoë faces are the questions from customers.
“One of the reasons I wanted to do my internship at Mopinion is that a lot of people around me have knowledge about software and I wanted to have that knowledge too. Learning more about how the software works (from a technical perspective) is my biggest challenge but also my goal.”
What is your proudest moment at Mopinion?
“I just recently started working at Mopinion but I think my proudest moment was when I started to get ideas on what the issue could be when looking at issues in the support inbox.”

What do you like to do in your free time?
“In my free time I like to bake and create costumes. Now that we work from home I also enjoy working out, though I should still do it more often.”
What is your guilty pleasure?
“My guilty pleasure is probably Eurovision song contest songs, especially the ‘’bad/joke’’ songs. The moment I put on one of those songs I kind of forget about the time and keep adding more songs to the playlist,” she laughs.
Who inspires you?
“I don’t really have a role model but I really look up to people who do their own thing even if it’s out of the box. Michael Reynolds with his earthships (solar houses), for instance.”
What is one thing you can’t live without?
“Friends, family and music.”
What is your favorite quote?
‘’Don’t waste your time looking back. You’re not going that way.’’
What is your biggest fear?
“Clowns and snakes.”
Where do you see yourself in five years?
“In five years I will probably have finished my next study and will begin working as a skin therapist.”
What is something that not many people know about you?
“I was in a theater group as a small child and have performed at Carré and Studio 21 Dinner show.”
