Are you curious about what’s on the horizon for the Mopinion software and how it can help you level up your user experience strategy? Then you’ve come to the right place. On April 16th, we hosted a webinar with Jos van der Kooij, Head of Product, and Barend de Wit, Customer Success Manager, on the topic ‘Elevate your digital experience (DX): New & next in the Mopinion software’. Couldn’t join? Don’t worry, we’ll recap it and fill you in on the highlights in no time.
TL;DR – Article Summary
Mopinion’s latest webinar showcases how its merger with Netigate is expanding possibilities, combining digital feedback with powerful AI-driven analytics. Recent updates like improved customisation, dark mode and form archiving enhance user experience, while upcoming features such as automatic translations and smarter conversational forms will make feedback more scalable and insightful. Overall, the focus remains on helping teams act faster on real user insights across all channels.
The merger with Netigate and what it means for Mopinion
First things first. As most of you have probably heard at this point, Mopinion recently joined forces with the experience management platform Netigate. Exciting, but what does this specifically mean for Mopinion and how we develop our product?
Barend started the webinar off by giving some background on the acquisition, why it came to be and how it affects Mopinion.
What is Netigate?
As mentioned, Netigate is a European-born experience management platform, helping organisations truly understand the people who matter the most: their customers and employees.
Mopinion has now been part of the Netigate Group since September 2025.
What does the acquisiont mean for Mopinion and our customers?
“We are still us!” Barend explained during the webinar. Nothing essentially changes – we continue to develop and innovate the Mopinion software, while supporting our customers.
The merger with Netigate instead offers more options when it comes to expanding your experience management system.
With Mopinion added to the mix, Netigate now offers an omnichannel focus for customer and employee experience, across both traditional and digital channels. All this feedback data is then consolidated into an AI-enhanced analysis platform, which drives optimisation actions at all levels of an organisation. We’ll get into the specifics a bit later on.

Aside from this, both Netigate and Mopinion are fully developed and hosted in Europe. This delivers a strong, continued EU focus – a need that can be hard to fulfil with American alternatives, like Qualtrics or Medallia.
What is happening in digital feedback right now?
Before diving into the juicy recent and coming releases, Barend first took a moment to reflect on what is currently happening in digital feedback. What are the common needs we see, and how does that affect the Mopinion product vision?
He explained that there are five main trends we are focusing on in particular:
- The rapid AI growth: How does it affect feedback quality, and what role does the human touch play?
- Seamless feedback collection: Collecting feedback on your digital channels should blend into the rest of your user experience, from branding to placement and accessibility
- More context: When working with feedback, deeper context behind the data is needed, without introducing more platforms and creating fragmented systems
- EU regulations: European companies need to adhere to EU laws and regulations, like the European Accessibility Act and the GDPR
- A unified experience: In today’s digital age, companies have multiple digital channels, and it’s important that they all deliver a unified experience
With that in the back of our mind, let’s move on to what Mopinion’s product vision looks like.
Mopinion’s product vision: What are we working towards?
“Empowering digital and CX teams to improve experiences based on real user insights, by delivering the most comprehensive and easy-to-use possibilities to collect and analyse feedback”
That’s the overall goal we are working towards. With that and the overarching trends in mind, Jos explains that Mopinion’s product vision and roadmap are divided into five focus pillars.

- Analyse & AI: Automate insights to reduce manual effort and highlight key trends for faster decision-making
- Digital experience (DX) context: Connect feedback to user behaviour and journeys and show why users struggle, not just what they say
- Data collection: Superior form creation with extended question elements and being a frontrunner in customisability
- Mobile apps: Enhance mobile SDKs for effortless feedback, stay compatible and align UX and functionality over various SDKs
- Netigate: Placing the customer needs at the core, fast delivering value that drives our customers’ growth
These pillars are the foundation that all of Mopinion’s releases, solutions and features are based on.
What’s new in Mopinion?
Next up, Jos presented some exciting recent releases and what impact they have on your business. First up: the Media Library.
The Media Library: Take your customisation to the next level
Mopinion’s Media Library was released late in 2025 and gives users the option to use customised icons, smileys, thumbs and more in their feedback forms.
This means you can now apply even more of your branding to your forms, so they blend with the look and feel of your organisation.
Want to turn your website into a seasonal wonderland at Christmas? Now, this can also be reflected in your feedback forms. Your imagination is the only limitation.
Jos explains that even though using customised assets like this was possible previously, you would need the help of our support team. This release eliminates that step. Simply upload any asset you want to use to the Media Library and add it to your form.

The library saves the files you upload to the platform, meaning you can access them again and again, without having to reupload. This also goes for logos or other media assets you might want to include in your feedback forms.

Dark mode for mobile apps
Mopinion is now supporting dark mode on mobile apps. Jos explains that this release allows a unified experience between your mobile apps and your feedback forms.
Depending on your users’ app settings, forms will show in light or dark mode, avoiding jarring contrasts that create a bad user experience.
However, this is not the only news when it comes to dark mode…

Coming very soon… Website support for dark mode
Jos explains that we are not just stopping at mobile dark mode support. Very, very soon, you’ll be able to create dark mode feedback forms for both your website and mobile apps.
You’ll do this from the Mopinion platform, where you can create two designs for one form: one for dark and one for light settings.
In other words, no need to create multiple versions of the same form. The correct version is automatically shown depending on your users’ settings.

Exciting right? Stay tuned to hear more!
Form Archiving: Keep a tidy workspace
Our most recent release came out just one day before the webinar. As the name suggests, Form Archiving allows you to hide feedback forms and the data attached to them, keeping a clean workspace.
This makes it easy to find the forms and the insights you are using right now, without having to worry about permanently removing something important. If you’d need access to an archived form or the data attached to it, you can simply reactivate it.

What’s up next on the roadmap?
After Jos showed us what has just been released in the Mopinion software, he moved on to what’s coming.
For the webinar, he chose to focus on two AI features that are currently being researched and will move on to development.
Automatic form translations
Does your business operate in different languages? Translating every feedback form you publish into all relevant languages both takes a lot of time and requires specialised personnel.
With automatic form translation, you’ll seamlessly be able to translate your feedback forms from every input language. All with a simple click of a button.

Smart conversational forms
Conversational forms are chat-like feedback forms that feel more interactive than regular pop-up or modal forms. However, even though they look like a chat, the flow is static with prefilled answers.
They work great for collecting general feedback and have an overall higher response rate than regular feedback. However, because they feel more like a chat, users can sometimes expect a more personalised experience from them.
With Smart conversational forms, the chat will take previous answers into account, creating a unique journey, specified to each user’s needs.
It also helps you identify specific issues that might otherwise not show up due to limitations like categorisations.

The ongoing integration with Netigate
After Jos finished presenting what’s new and coming in Mopinion, Barend took a moment to focus on the ongoing integration with Netigate.
He explained how the software complements each other and how Netigate’s AI-powered analytics software, Netigate Insights, is especially helpful when analysing digital experience data from Mopinion.
Netigate Insights: AI-powered insights
Netigate Insights is an AI-powered analysis platform which consolidates data from all channels, both internal and external, in one place.
This includes reviews from sites like Apple, Google and TripAdvisor, but also website feedback, mobile app feedback, support channels, email campaigns and more.
By collecting and analysing all this customer experience data in one place, you createe an omnichannel view, preventing fragmentation and data getting stuck in silos.
Here you can find AI-generated charts, automatic summaries, in-depth analysis, topic generation, sentiment detection and much more.
It does the heavy analysis lifting for you, while allowing you to spend more time optimising your customer journey.
Ask AI: Prompt your data for actionable insights
Ask AI is a chat function within Netigate Insights that allows you to ask questions for specific results or tasks.
For example, you can ask, “Based on the last NPS campaign, what are the biggest friction points that keep customers from coming back?”. Ask AI will then give you a concrete answer based on your feedback data.
This helps create tasks and action points, or to put together reports. Not to mention, it allows you to get to the insights you want to see quicker.

Coming: Netigate AI agent
Ask AI sounds pretty neat, right? Well, it’s just the beginning. Netigate is currently busy working on an upgraded version that will give you even more in-depth information, actionable summaries and charts.
It will be able to:
- Analyse your full dataset instead of samples
- Provide deeper insights
- Show how it reached the conclusions it did
- Generate graphs and supporting evidence
